Allow me to introduce myself. I am a conversational lifestyle writer with an interest in fashion, wellness and healthy living. My recognizable byline is Annie DeMuth but recently I married the man of my dreams and am now legally, Anne Stopak.
I am currently a freelance writer and blogger and I also work full-time for a health and fitness marketing company. (You can also check out my yoga blog at www.yogashewrote.com.) During my downtime, blogging and ghostwriting occasionally for wedding photographers has been my side hustle of choice. I am a go-getter, extremely organized and persistently hard-working, and for the record, my biggest grammatical pet peeve is misusing “too” and “to.”
How did I get here, you might ask? I graduated the University of Arizona in 2013 with a bachelor of arts degree in journalism and minor in fashion. In my journalism courses, I worked primarily with Adobe InDesign and Photoshop in an editorial focused manner to produce layout design for newspapers, magazines and websites. I wrote dozens of stories on a variety of topics from controversial news to my beloved fashion beat. My senior year, I was even the managing editor of a trendy little website called Campus Closets, a conversational blog I created that highlighted the street style of female college students.
Since graduation, I have had experience in digital marketing including e-newsletter creation and layout design, client correspondence in the advertising and publishing field, quality content creation and copywriting as well as freelance writing and editing in the luxury magazine space. I also adapt well to writing in different voices and styles. In my next creative role, I intend on maintaining my integrity as an ethical and passionate writer/ content creator.
Although I can write on just about anything, I am partial to fashion designer profiles, compelling food and travel reviews, styled wedding shoots and anything else wildly creative. And if not at home snuggling my chiweenie or dreaming of dipping my toe into foreign waters, I am likely relaxing in shavasana or trying out a menu favorite at a new local eatery.
Bottom line: I like to tell a good story. Have one to tell? Let me interview you. Need a product copywriter for your online business or blog? I do that too.
